Jacob Launder is a passionate education leader with over a decade of school leadership experience. As a site administrator, Jacob built a strong, relationship-focused school culture and developed a site-wide MTSS restorative justice program from the ground up — work that led to a 60% reduction in behavior referrals, a 54% decrease in secondary suspensions, and a 20% drop in chronic absenteeism. This work was recognized by the California Association of School Counselors, naming Jacob the 2025 Administrator of the Year and his counseling program the Exemplary Counseling Program for 2025.

Today, Jacob serves as Principal on Special Assignment for La Mesa-Spring Valley School District, coaching site administrators on behavior and intervention systems across multiple campuses. Sites he coaches saw suspensions drop 32.5% district-wide this past year — proof that the systems work extends beyond any one building, and beyond Jacob’s own campus.
